Since 1954, we have been offering fully customised Luxaflex window coverings. This means that every window covering is made to measure and designed to fit perfectly with every window in your home, as well as with your overall aesthetic and style.
When you choose Luxaflex window coverings, you always get a personalised consultation with a product expert, either in our showroom or in your home, to ensure you’re choosing the product type, fabric, opacity, operating method and accessories that are right for you.
When customising your window coverings, here are some important things to consider:
This is the most important consideration, and one that’s ideally discussed with a Luxaflex® consultant. There are several different types of window coverings all of which have different functions, materials and formats. Typically speaking, the types of window coverings to choose from include:
Blinds
Blinds are a more traditional type of window covering and are often chosen for bedrooms where they offer privacy and light control. Our large range of Luxaflex® blinds can be divided across four categories: Luxaflex® Roller Blinds, Luxaflex® Vertical Blinds, Luxaflex® Venetian Blinds and Luxaflex® Panel Glide Blinds. Most blinds come in a wide variety of prints and fabrics, so it’s always easy to find an option that suits.
Soft Shades
Another great option to consider is Soft Shades. Soft Shades are a newer type of blind innovation and function - like a screen letting light through but still providing all-important privacy. Some of the most popular Soft Shades include Luxaflex® Duette® Shades, Luxaflex® Pirouette® Shadings, Luxaflex® Silhouette® Shadings, Luxaflex® LumiShade window coverings, and Luxaflex® Luminette® Privacy Sheers.
Shutters
Thanks to their durability, these can be a great option for high-traffic areas of your home, or wet areas like bathrooms and laundries. The Luxaflex® range of shutters includes Luxaflex® PolySatin® Shutters which are proudly made in Australia and have a 20-year warranty*.
Curtains
Luxaflex® Curtains are always popular throughout homes especially when layered with other window coverings like Blinds or Soft Shades. The Luxaflex range of curtain options is also very broad and there are plenty of great options to choose from.
Today, it’s possible to completely customise the look and texture of your window coverings to suit your overall aesthetic and style. It’s also often possible to select the same fabric across different types of window coverings to create a consistent look throughout your home.
When choosing the fabric for your window coverings, you’ll also want to select the opacity level that’s right for each room. You can read more about choosing opacity levels here.
For certain Luxaflex® window coverings, we also offer a range of fabrics which meets the certification requirements set by Greenguard® for Low Chemical Emissions and helps to reduce air pollution and the risk of chemical exposure, while aiding in the creation of healthier indoor environments.
We offer a range of different modes of operation depending on your budget, style and preferences. This can include wand-operation, retractable or pull cord loop systems, EasyRise, LiteRise or Ultraglide® lifting systems, and the revolutionary app-driven PowerView® Automation system.
Luxaflex® Luminette® Privacy Sheers, for instance, are a great option for bedrooms. They can be drawn open like curtains with the use of a cord, or rotated like blinds with a simple twist of the wand, all from a single control. Or, with PowerView® Automation, you can lift them with a remote control or even your smartphone at the touch of a button. You can even program your window coverings to open or close at specific times of the day, with some shades even including temperature sensors for automated operation.
The Luxaflex® range also allows you to configure the opening style of your window coverings whether bottom-up, top-down, side-to-side, or even middle-opening.
Luxaflex® Duette® Shades, for instance, can be opened from either the top or bottom, depending on the orientation of your window, where the light is shining, and where you want privacy.
